Now I know enough to have a discussion and see if I want to give it a try.The two most compelling items in this book that have moved me into the "I'm gonna try it" camp is:
1. The information about how the brew has high glucosamine content for my arthritic knees
2. The recipes for using Kombucha in a way that it should taste good (like the smoothies and the desserts)
Next step? I'm going to get my co-worker to buy this book, discuss it with her and consider adding Kombucha to my routine.

There were some good recipes that interested me, but I really wish that the majority of the book had been recipes, and not about general Kombucha information. There is tons of general information available on the internet for free, and it seemed like the book focused more effort on covering all this general information than it did on actual recipes. I would have rather had more recipes.
I've been interested in Kombucha for a while now but hand't really read anything about it or how to make it. This book was a great overview with recipes for not only how to make the teas but also some great recipes for how to USE them. I can't wait to start brewing!
One of the best books I've read on the subject of Kombucha! Learn how to make your own for pennies on the dollar. Health benefits are fantastic!
I was surprised and delighted to see that this book doesn't just have beverage recipes, but also recipes for using tea in cooking! I was seriously impressed by the Winter Kale Salad with Kombucha Dressing and I can't wait to try some of the other mains. I'm so glad I got this book.
I would have never thought about cooking with tea! This book gives not only the background of Kombucha, but numerous recipes to try the special tea in. So many health benefits; I look forward to trying!
Great information and great recipes - a generally well written book. There is one noticeable and slightly confusing format error, but beyond this, the book was quite good. Easy to understand instructions for making kombucha at home are one of the highlights of this book.
